Through my freelance consultancy, an understanding of environmental impact is at the core of what I do and has led me to form international connections with like-minded individuals and businesses. I use my broad experience within the apparel industry to provide support and guidance for new businesses and innovators on how they can develop their online presence and aesthetic. I strive to go beyond surface level to promote a future in design where material, production and consumer connection achieve more than just monetary value and give something back to the earth, while simultaneously celebrating craftsmanship, creative communities and innovation.

Having been raised with an appreciation for independent design, unique items and bespoke craftsmanship, my selected studies and career path within the creative industry has led me to focus particularly on apparel and lifestyle. With an in-build admiration for slow design, I have always sought out the more unusual, limited items whether this be vintage, through independent retailers or by creating my own custom pieces across clothing, accessories and jewellery. Day to day experiences such as reading, collaborations, completing self-directed creative projects and watching films mean I am constantly absorbing information and gaining aesthetic guidance from a variety of sources.

Client testimonials:

“My first package choice with Louise has been a great decision for my business and has helped to kick it into a new professional terrain. She has helped to organise some new ways of working for me and having her creative approach to my marketing and storytelling has broadened the whole vision for the business. Louise has understood the way I work and has offered her help at the right pace without bombarding me with information, and yet not too laid back and too infrequent. I feel her work has been very fruitful and I enjoyed getting the weekly catch up email!”

For someone like me who is working solo on curating their dream company, Louise has been all eyes and ears to understand what DARN is about through her wording, care and understanding of how I want the brand to be purveyed. She has made it clear and coherent all the way through and continues to help me shape DARN with eloquent writing and an understanding of how to make my ideas sing. I am so grateful to have her on board as a part of the Darn family. Louise is patient, can turn around edits very quickly, she listens and has a wide knowledgeable understanding of brands, craft, making and sustainability - a wide prospectus which means she takes everything on board. I would highly recommended her to anyone, you are lucky to have her time if you do.
